Hyung is a seasoned physician-scientist who joined Foresite Capital in 2021 after being a member of the faculty at Yale School of Medicine since 2009, most recently as a tenured professor and Co-Director of the Yale Cardiovascular Research Center. Hyung has held significant academic and advisory roles throughout his career and maintains adjunct faculty roles at Yale and Stanford. Hyung received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard and his medical degree from Johns Hopkins, after which he completed his residency and cardiology fellowship at Stanford. He is a board-certified cardiologist actively treating cardiovascular patients.
