Ben serves as vice president of biostatistics at Latigo Biotherapeutics, bringing more than 20 years of drug development experience to his role. In his prior position at Rho (a clinical research organization specializing in pain studies), he led teams of statisticians and programmers in the design and generation of analysis datasets and output for studies spanning all phases of development. This included playing a key role in roughly 40 marketing applications across a broad range of therapeutic areas, supporting sponsors at eight FDA advisory committees, and representing dozens of sponsors in a wide variety of FDA meetings.

As one of the few statisticians with a primary focus in pain therapies, he is recognized within the space for his expertise in methodology and statistical approaches expected by the FDA’s Division of Anesthesia, Addiction Medicine and Pain Medicine. Ben earned a B.S.P.H. and M.S. in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and maintains a Regulatory Affairs Certification.
